Where do you store your very expensive RV?

Our take on RV storage

RV storage is something that needs to be thought about when buying an RV.  Apart from at your house an RV is probably going to be the single most expensive item you will ever purchase. If you owned a brand new Corvette or equally expensive prestigious car would you park it in a field open to the elements? No of course you wouldn’t. So why would you treat your very expensive RV any differently.

We have experienced first hand some of the issues when your RV is simply left exposed to the elements. Things tend to break or stop working due to moisture build up and things just seize up.

We have searched high and low and good indoor RV storage and it’s fairly hard to find, well what I mean by this is that it’s rare to actually find any space available. So what does this tell you?

You’ll be lucky to find a suitable RV storage location let alone one that has any space and of course there is a cost to inside storage and I honestly believe that people should factor this cost in when purchasing their RV as it will soon deteriorate if left outside to all of the elements. Sun is as bad as snow ad cold weather, it will cost you dearly in the long run. So look at indoor storage as a preventative service measure.

One of the things we like about the NIRVC RV storage facility is that they has full facilities there, so you can have your RV services, paint repairs and even a full detailing service. So what’s not to like.

Hey Glen, we appreciate and have enjoyed your videos. Saw your rv at nirvc today with your satellite up. Was hoping to meet you but didn’t see you around. Looks like you went to some of our favorite places already (Nashville, Hilton Head etc). Just bought the 2018 Aspire 44w and were checking it out today. Sure hope we have better luck than you did. How do you like your Safe-T-Plus?

      Hi Jay
Sorry I missed you, I was around most of the time. I’m now in Nashville but will be back at NIRVC on the 15th March. The Safe T Plus is great a couple of my friends also had them fitted and love it. If you go down to their HQ in Atlanta and give the this code: USA2017ESCAPE you will not only get free install but you will also receive a discount. When you are ready to purchase your DI unit (to keep your coach nice and shinny) let me know and I’ll give you a 10% discount on that. We are going to be launching a new RV water Softener soon so if you are thinking of getting one, hang on. If you see our coach anywhere, don’t be shy just knock on the door. There is always cold beer in the fridge.

Thanks Glen for your response and offer on the discounts! Would be great to have a beer with you! Will wait on the DI then since it is on our list. We switched to the Aspire 44B plan and will be at Nirvc probably at the same time in March for a few nights testing out the coach. We did have them put on Tyron’s at nirvc. Want the tire minder as well. Maybe sometime when you are in Atlanta I can treat you to some good Texas BBQ (I am from Austin TX originally). If you have not visited historical downtown Franklin, TN you should go and enjoy one of their bars/restaurants. If you ever go to Austin—The Salt Lick BBQ in Driftwood, TX is the spot—it’s your kind of place I’ll bet. Thanks again for all your great tips!
    Cheers!
    Jay

      Ho Jay
Sorry for the last reply, been a bit hectic. Well I know for sure that we will be back at NIRVC on the 15th and possibly the 16th March. We are then going to do Dallas and Austin so will have to look out the places you have recommended. Maybe we’ll see you in Atlanta.

Hey Glen funny video on the led install in the pantry. Have had a few of those little quick jobs exploded into long and frustrating. One question I have that came to me when you were tinning the wires. Do you now lose the ability to easily change the height of the shelves if need arises. Also are you going to do a little video on your experience with NIRV when you picked up the coach this time. Was it okay, good or not perfect inquiring minds would like to know. Safe travels Gary

      Hi Gary
I don’t even want to think about moving those bloody shelves, If julia wants them moved it’ll be a major headache. Yes I will be making a video of our experience but I’ll wait till Julias back as it’s real difficult when there is on me trying to film me….
