Returning to collect our RV from storage
We have booked our flights and will be returning to the good old USA on the 8th February. I’ll arrive on my own for the first 3 weeks as I find this is normally how long it takes putting right what has been damaged by the various places i have left our RV in the past. We don’t have the luxury of bringing our RV home or leaving it somewhere locally so we are completely in the hands of those who store our Rv.
Now that said I have great respect for NIRC as they clearly are the best I’ve found so far so I’m hoping that I’ll arrive and apart from stocking up with beer and some food I’ll be good to go.
Our Feb-March trip will be taking in Nashville (obviously) Texas, Louisiana and New Orleans finishing up in lovely hot Florida where we will completely unwind before heading back for our hectic summer season in France.
We hope to visit a few people we know on the way for a few beers.
So see you all soon on the road.
Glad you guys are headed back to the US, keep up the great videos
Hi Mike
Yes I’m really looking forward to actually going places without any issues this time… But so much to do here at home before we leave.
Safe travels. Sorry we will miss seeing you. We are out West until May. Loved our visit to Texas Hill Country. Area around Austin is beautiful. Many small cities and state parks to explore. Enjoy!
Yep, I think Texas is well worth spending some time in, so many great places to see. We are planing North West possibly September 2018
have you picked out your place in New Orleans? I highly recommend http://fqrv.com, its (surprisingly quiet) and very close to “the quarter” (the park folk will transport you, by golf cart) to a safe walking distance to bourbon street….and they’ll pick you up when you return (i suggest cabbing it, especially after dark, for a couple of bucks).
Hi Don
That is such good advise which we will look into. I find that the wealth of knowledge out there is invaluable. I really appreciate this info, thank you.
Hi Glen: Just wondering on one of your videos you offered for sale your Thousand Trails membership and said you would do a follow up on it and other camping clubs. Did you ever do a video would be interested on your perspective. I have read the article by RV Love which was very informative. However would like to hear from someone who was doing it and stopped.
Thanks Gary
Hi Gary
Do not purchase a TT membership. It’s a complete rip off. Have a look at RPI (resort parks international)Coast to coast, Enjoy America. Do not purchase TT membership. I hope this e-mail doesn’t come too late.
Hello Glen (and Julia),
Is it maybe an idea to maybe on this site or in a video to describe what you have to do or need for an outsider (as in not from the US) to buy a RV in the US and travel around?
Like for insurance and other problems you ran into when you bought the RV. In some of your video’s you touch on this subject but not in detail and i am wondering what are the things you run in to or the tips you may have.
Hi Wilco
We realise that for people who live outside of the US this can all be a bit of a daunting process, now a video on the subject would I feel bore the hell out of the Americas which most of our videos are aimed at. So we produced a guide on how to purchase an RV which does cover the questions you have asked. Full details can be found here
Thanx Glen,
I will take a look at it, stupid that i didn’t see this on the site.
Safe travel in a couple of days! Thrilled to see some new video’s and hoping that NIRC is the place to store the RV.
Let me know if you need any help or assistance, I’m always around to help

PS gode vidioer.
tak skal du have
