Samsung 4K TV and sound-bar
The Samsung 4K TV and sound-bar is another great feature that Entegra advertise.
Sadly Entegra install as standard a micky mouse DVD player, which is such a low end product.
UPDATE
We purchased a Samsung 4K DVD player so that we can watch real 4K content DVD’s. The 4K BOSE system doesn’t actually support a 4K signal throughput, meaning that if you plug your 4K DVD into the 4K BOSE system you only get 2K output.
This is a complete balls up and a total llack of thought and product testing on Entegra part. So the configuration we have is a 4K DVD player, a Samsung 4K TV and the BOSE 4K AV system.
The only way you are able to watch 4K movies is to connect the Samsung 4K DVD player direct to the Samsung 4K TV. You then have to connect the audio from the TV via the optical cable into one of the AUX inputs of the Bose system. This is less than satisfactory, very clunky and not very slick at all.
A better solution.
You would have thought that Entegra being one of the new breed of high end Rv’s that someone would have spent a little time sourcing a professional AV system that at least had some future proofing. Instead they have installed the student type entry level system.
Now what’s the big deal I hear you ask. The big question is why do Entegra install such low end products and why doesn’t the Entegra techs have any clue what they are doing when it comes to AV. It’s difficult to retro fit a new system as the wiring required for a new system would have had to be installed at the build stage.
