No word from Spartan !!!

So 4 days after Spartan started work on my steering issues I’ve still had no word. Have they fixed it? have they found a problem ? are they bothered ?

I will wait till the end of the week and then write to them and ask what is happening.

Stay tuned

For no real reason, other than age, I think about upgrading my 2011 Entegra to a new one. But then I think, you know my 2011 sits on a Freightliner chassis and has never had a problem. Maybe I’ll hold on for a bit.

      Hi Robert
Do you know my last RV (Fleetwood) was also on a Freightliner chassis and I never in the 8 years we had this RV had any problems with steering or ride. So all this hype about how good Spartan are is all a load of rubbish if you ask me.

Thanks, Glenn. As I continue to work, we are only driving the RV about 10,000 miles a year. So I think I am good for awhile and this 42RBQ is wonderful inside. Best of luck.

Thank you for your kind words, the world has gone mad !! 3 of Julias brothers and wives were having lunch in Nice the same day and then moved along to St Torpez (thank god) AS for getting back over to the US, yes as soon as I can I will but as for being safer …..I’m not sure that’s the case.
      Cheers for now

I have really enjoyed your videos.
I wanted an Anthem but now I’m not so sure.
I saw one with the same paint job as yours for sale in Texas.
Did you get rid of it?

    • GRT says:

No I haven’t got rid of it, Most Entegra Anthem owners are blissfully happy, most have had heaps of issues. But once the issues have been fixed you tend to forget you ever had them. With us we have had nothing but issues so it’s not possible to forget them, If they have fixed the steering now as they claim and if Lazydays have done the rest of the warranty work then maybe we will also be blissfully happy.

Glenn, I like many others have followed and enjoyed your travels and troubles. I was also in the market for new coach and thought it was going to be an Entegra until your steering problem. Now we are not so sure. I am curious if anyone has measured weight at the 6 points and checked frame alignment with laser. It seems that something is pulling the axles out of alignment as you go down the road. This would indicate more than a steering box issue. Anyway hope they address this and fix it so we can enjoy more of you and Julia happily traveling in your coach.

      Hi Ray
Spartan have sent a team of people to go completely over my Rv and after a week they have listed what they have done, they have also road tested my RV for 350 miles and they claim that’s its still spot on. I will publish the letter they have sent me shortly on my web site

    Thanks for keeping us updated.
I believe Entegra sales are very slow across the country just waiting to hear how they take care of you.
There are a lot of them at dealers just sitting there. I thought that before I read your website. Now I understand why.
I just retired and my first choice was to make the last truck I owned into a motorhome. It’s a KW with a 15 liter CAT and a 13 speed. I’ve owned it since 1997. Real good truck.
I talked to three of the major conversion companies. Maybe they didn’t think I had the money, but they didn’t act like they wanted the trouble. It would need a heavier front axle, it only has a 12K, the frame stretched, and then the motorhome part.
It would be fun to drive, around 500 hp to the ground.
It would have cost about as much as a late model Entegra, so I started looking at them. I like their interiors, but not the engine or the DEF. Now I hear the Spartan chassis is not the greatest. I wonder if sticking with a straight axle instead of that IFS would be better down the road. Am I correct in assuming your Entegra has the Independent Front Suspension? I saw a cheaper Entegra model, I believe an Aspire, that had the straight beam front axle and also had a propane stove which I would like.
Hope there is a good outcome to your troubles. A while back you said you weren’t sure if you would be safer over here in the U. S. A.
I think you are right. They are shooting our police down over here.
